JACKSON DAVIS, GREAT JOB!
The Eagle Project is a major requirement toward earning Scouting’s highest rank of Eagle Scout. Jackson has been in scouting since 2007. His Eagle Project was to make the Loomis Library Garden useful for the community again by clearing, planting, power-washing, and building benches. The project required planning, project management and leadership. His proposal had to be approved by his Scout leaders in Troop 12, the Town Manager, and the Friends of the Library. He communicated with local businesses for discounts and donations and coordinated help from his family and other scouts. The Loomis Library Garden was dedicated to the Loomis Women’s Club in 1982. Jackson turned a space that was used for storage back into its original purpose – a beautiful place for people to read, meet and enjoy, an outside secret garden of the library!
