Building Permit Applications
Effective 4/8/2025, the Town has a separate permit application for Contractors, and a separate permit application for Owner-Builders. Please be sure to read and complete all required sections carefully.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure all documents pertaining to the project are submitted together. Do not submit your project until all necessary documents have been acquired. Failure to do so may result in an additional correction letter. By submitting your project, you agree that all and any applicable items (truss calcs, structural calcs, T24, etc.) have been included.
How to Submit a Building Permit Application
Projects are to be submitted digitally via email to bldgpermit@loomis.ca.gov. If all files together are over 25 MB, please email an access link to files via OneDrive, Google Drive, WeTransfer, etc.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted, and corrections will be asked of the applicant before intake of any documents or review begins. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure all documents and forms have been submitted.

Owner-Builder PermitsCLICK HERE to access the owner-builder permit application. Prior to applying as an Owner-Builder, it is important to understand the responsibilities of being the permit holder. Familiarize yourself with legal obligations and risks you face by visiting our resources page before deciding to apply as an Owner-Builder. Anyone who is not the legal owner of the property applying for an Owner-Builder permit is required to submit a Letter of Authorization signed by the property owner granting them permission to act on their behalf. |
