Placer County’s Local Variance Approved By The State

Posted on June 3, 2020

Placer County has been given the green light by the California Department of Public Health to begin moving further into Stage 2 of California’s Roadmap to Modify the Stay-at-Home Order.

Additional businesses in Stage 2 of the governor’s plan can now reopen their doors to customers – as long as they meet state guidelines to keep customers and employees safe. These businesses include dine-in restaurants (amenities including bars or gaming areas are not permitted in Stage 2), shopping centers, office-based businesses (telework remains strongly encouraged), select services: car washes, pet grooming, and landscape gardening and outdoor museums, and open gallery spaces and other public spaces with modifications. Tools for business to reopen responsibly are available at https://www.placer.ca.gov//reopen .
